"I
read a story once that reminded me of Rich's work. It goes like
this: A teacher who stands before his class, fills a jar with rocks
to the top and asks his class if the jar is full, they answer yes.
He then adds pebbles, which fill the gaps of the rocks and asks
the class again, and they answer yes again. He then asks are you
sure? Then he adds sand filling in the rest of the gaps and the
entire jar. The teacher asks the students, how about now? Is the
jar full now? The students, certain nothing more can fit in the
jar, answer yes sir. The teacher then pours water in the glass until
the sand absorbs all it could and the water reaches the rim. Senshido
is the sand and the water compared to the rocks and pebbles that
are the rest of the systems I have seen and trained under."
