SENSHIDO'S PROFESSIONAL ALLIANCE (S.P.A.) PROGRAM
INTRODUCTION:
From Law
Enforcement personnel to Hollywood producers, from martial arts
instructors to complete novices, from professional stunt men to
the British Special Air Services as well as men, women and children
worldwide, all can and have benefited from Senshido's programs.
Whether you're a martial arts instructor, LEO, military, counselor
for battered women, childcare worker or simply someone interested
in teaching our programs and enhancing survivability of your students
or society by adding any of our programs to your repertoire, then
the S.P.A. program is for you.
S.P.A.
is designed to enhance an already existing curriculum by adding
our research and drills. For those of you who own a school or teach
at one, you can now use our materials to create a new class or add
to your curriculum.
For those who want to start teaching self-defense either privately
or through a seminar circuit, Richard Dimitri is recognized as one
of the pioneers and top reality based instructors in the world.
We literally receive hundreds of emails per month from all over
the world including Australia, New Zealand, Greece, Italy, the UK,
Spain, Egypt, all over the USA, Canada, Finland, France, Puerto
Rico and Brazil asking if there are any Senshido Affiliates in their
region to train with. Here is your opportunity to become part of
our team through Senshido's Professional Alliance and start teaching
proven quality self defense based on our research and experience.
We
currently only accept 2 to 4 of 50 applicants
for affiliation per year. Unlike most other affiliation programs,
our affiliation is done 1 on 1 with you and scheduled by you as
opposed to the 30 or 40 participants that most other programs allow
in one weekend. This is partly because quality is much more important
than quantity for us and money and growth (expansion) isn’t
the reasons for this program. Integrity is. Hence the S.P.A.
program is unlike the usual 'corporate' and impersonal affiliations
that exist out there where you sit in a board room along with 30+
others watching a power point presentation and being lectured to
by the head instructor or simply attending a seminar with an instructor
and receiving your affiliation by attendance only.
It is also because it is imperative for us to get personal with
all potential affiliates and getting to know 30 to 40 people over
the course of one weekend is impossible. This is why we keep the
affiliation program small and personal. This way we get a better
understanding of how you filtered the information that was imparted
with you and the instruction is not generic, it is personal.
No gimmicks, no lies, no hidden costs, no finding out you have to
take another weekend of instruction or that you cannot incorporate
our research and drills once you have become affiliated.
Following
is some basic information about the S.P.A. program:
WHO
CAN APPLY?
- Any
already certified martial artists whom owns a school or runs a
national or international seminar circuit.
- Any
LEO, DT Trainer, Military Operative or Certified Combative trainer
- Any
counselor, childcare worker or individual involved in any kind
of academic profession including athletics.
- Any
individual wishing to teach self-defense either through private
instruction or a seminar circuit with an already established related
business venture.
HOW
TO APPLY.
1.
Send us your CV, brief bio and credentials in your field via email
or snail mail.
2. After revision, we will contact you and let you know if
you have been chosen to become a participant for our Affiliation
Program. You will receive a 2 page information letter and once accepted,
you can purchase the Affiliation Start Up Kit described below to
begin. Study the material well and prepare for your 3-day S.P.A.
Training Program.
*Note - a minimum of 3 months of training & study with the
start up kit is required.

The 3-day S.P.A. Training program consists of discussions, intensive
training, drills, testing, teaching, evaluations and more. The main
thrust of the 3 day affiliation process is getting to know each
other outside the training environment as well. We pick up all affiliates
from the airport (when applicable) and also show them around Montreal,
share lunches and suppers etc.
The S.P.A. Trainee will be evaluated in 4 separate categories: Physical
attributes, assimilation and comprehension, teaching and transmitting
ability and personal and social skills. If the trainee passes all
4 S.P.A. categories, he/she will be certified as a S.P.A. Affiliate.
4. Is Affiliation through S.P.A. a guarantee? No, there is
no guarantee, in the end; it is up to you, your performance and
your ability to transmit the information clearly and concisely.
If one of the 4 categories is not passed, then you will not get
an Affiliation through S.P.A. You will be able to reschedule at
a later time and date to re-test at your discretion. Note that
payment made is non refundable and is for the course in itself and
not particularly for the certification.
